National Police Service (NPS) - DCI Vehicle Leasing Program Handover Ceremony
Mr. Daniel Muriuki, Logistics Director – DCI,
Mr. Charles Mudiwa, Chief Executive -Stanbic Bank,
Mr. Chris Ndala, Managing Director, DT Dobie Kenya,
Mr. Abraham Odeng, NPS Leasing Project Manager – The National Treasury,
Ladies & Gentlemen.
It gives me great pleasure to say a few words at this milestone event that without a doubt plays a significant role in the realization of a more efficient and logistically capable National Police Service.
Today’s event is true testament of our collective commitment in accelerating sustainable growth and efficiency for the greater good of our economy.
Creating a better world requires teamwork, partnerships and collaboration. Isaac Newton once said, “If I have Seen Further, It is by Standing on the Shoulders of Giants.”
It is against this backdrop that RentCo Africa conveys our sincere gratitude to Stanbic Bank and DT Dobie Kenya for being an integral part of this journey to make the aspiration of a more operationally capable Government into a reality.
We heartily appreciate The National Police Service (NPS) and The National Treasury for entrusting us to deliver on this important quest. Not only does the Government’s Leasing Program improve mobility that enhances the critical role that our law enforcement agencies play in keeping our communities safe but also:
- Expansion of multi-sectoral business opportunities such as:
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) whose growth opens doors for more
branches, dealers and service centres
New markets for financial and insurance sectors
- Opportunities in the used car market
- Growth of all these businesses in turn contributes to creation of employment opportunities
In today’s uncertain financial climate, leasing of movable assets stands out as viable alternative, flexible and creative financing option enabling Governments and organizations alike, to acquire today’s assets or equipment, at today’s price, but paid with tomorrow’s revenues.
RentCo Africa strongly believes that the subsequent adoption of leasing in both the public and private sector will provide a competitive edge around operations and business performance, elevating Kenya’s economy to new heights.
With these remarks, it is my pleasure to declare this handover a success.
